Carolina Pheysey, Senior Consultant
Carolina is an experienced Environmental Engineer and certified ISO 14001 lead auditor with over 12 years experience working across the resources, transport, agriculture and forestry & process industries. She has significant experience in the road and mining sectors, managing environmental planning, approvals, community and project compliance aspects. She also has extensive environmental project management experience extending to the management of contractors and consultants, complex stakeholder engagement, options analysis and the management of cost and schedule.
Carolina has held a senior management role in one of the largest global iron ore operations owned by BHP, leading a team managing environmental, community and compliance aspects of new mega project developments and existing operations.
Carolina has an MBA in project management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and is fluent in English and Portuguese.
Georgina Mant, Senior Consultant
Georgina has 8 years of international experience in the construction industry across rail, urban regeneration and social infrastructure sectors. She has worked both client and contractor side gaining a breadth of knowledge through the full project lifecycle including planning, bidding, pre-construction services, contract management, site delivery and defect resolution.
Georgina has previously held technical manager roles where she worked in multidisciplinary teams managing design development, project constructability, change control and associated commercial risks. This includes delivery of a new ticket hall at a major underground train station for Laing O’Rourke in the UK, where she also represented their in-house consultancy, the Engineering Excellence Group, driving innovation into projects. Georgina is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and has a MEng in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford.
Mikel Barbara, Senior Consultant
Mikel is a civil engineer with 7 years of experience in project management, optimization, business cases development, investment analysis, strategy development, financial modelling, and construction related control processes. Mikel is currently seconded as a project manager with WaterNSW, delivering a program of works with an overall budget of ~$100Mn. Previously, he partnered with government, private entities and IGOs, including the World Bank Group, on projects related to infrastructure, transportation, real estate development, and urban regeneration.
Mikel holds a master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Houston. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of NSW in the area of Operational Research. In collaboration with the School Infrastructure Department of NSW, his research has investigated built facility location optimisation models to optimise the allocation of a $6.5Bn capital expenditure budget. The principles are applicable to any business that need to optimise the network of its facilities.
