Carolina Pheysey, Senior Consultant
Carolina is an experienced Environmental Engineer and certified ISO 14001 lead auditor with over 12 years experience working across the resources, transport, agriculture and forestry & process industries. She has significant experience in the road and mining sectors, managing environmental planning, approvals, community and project compliance aspects. She also has extensive environmental project management experience extending to the management of contractors and consultants, complex stakeholder engagement, options analysis and the management of cost and schedule.
Carolina has held a senior management role in one of the largest global iron ore operations owned by BHP, leading a team managing environmental, community and compliance aspects of new mega project developments and existing operations.
Carolina has an MBA in project management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and is fluent in English and Portuguese.
Mikel Barbara, Senior Consultant
Mikel is a civil engineer with 7 years of experience in project management, optimization, business cases development, investment analysis, strategy development, financial modelling, and construction related control processes. Mikel is currently seconded as a project manager with WaterNSW, delivering a program of works with an overall budget of ~$100Mn. Previously, he partnered with government, private entities and IGOs, including the World Bank Group, on projects related to infrastructure, transportation, real estate development, and urban regeneration.
Mikel holds a master’s degree in Construction Management from the University of Houston. He is currently a PhD candidate at the University of NSW in the area of Operational Research. In collaboration with the School Infrastructure Department of NSW, his research has investigated built facility location optimisation models to optimise the allocation of a $6.5Bn capital expenditure budget. The principles are applicable to any business that need to optimise the network of its facilities.
Charbel El-Fata, Senior Consultant
Charbel has over 8 years of industry experience in providing project, design and contract management services, across commercial building, civil and industrial engineering projects. His experience includes engineering planning, inspections and management; contract management and administration; writing scope deliverables and specifications; budget control and tender management. Charbel has recently acted as a client-side project manager for SA Water for the highly public “Opening of our Reservoirs” project. Charbel has previously held the role of client-side project engineer during the construction delivery of the $1B Carrapateena Mine for OZ Minerals, where he worked in a multidisciplinary team managing constructability and design development, on-site construction delivery, supplier documentation, and commissioning of the underground infrastructure package of works. Charbel holds a M.Eng in Civil and Structural engineering from the University of Adelaide.
Iris Bienert, Senior Consultant
Iris has international experience across several industry sectors, including transport, plant engineering and distribution, and water. She has expertise in providing commercial management services, including contract administration, claims and delay management, in addition to project management, operational works planning, program of works and quality management. Recently, Iris worked in project management roles on the contractor side for Sydney Trains on bridge refurbishment projects in Tempe and Civil works in Teralba, Pendle Hill and Westmead. She has also previously held roles which include Planning and Delivery Project Engineer for Civil Works on Sydney Metro South West Station Upgrades in Canterbury and Marrickville (combined value of $10M). Iris has a double degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management.
Ludwig Golzar, Senior Consultant
Ludwig has over 5 years of experience in the delivery of transport infrastructure projects from design management to commissioning and handover. His experience includes the development and management of scope and program for technical advisors and design professional service providers and commissioning and hand over of rail infrastructure. Recently, Ludwig was part of the Design Management and Planning teams for the complex $3.9B WestConnex 3b - Rozelle Interchange project. Ludwig is currently completing an MBA at UTS, Majoring in Business Law and Finance.
